Our client is a rapidly expanding and niche business within the manufacturing sector. Due to their sustained period of growth the company are seeking for a Senior Sales Co-ordinator to manage customer jobs from order approval to finished product, including all front office and production aspects. This position will be pivotal to the business in order to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. You must be able to multi-task, work pro-actively and use strong communication skills in order to be successful in this position. The company are looking for someone who has worked in a similar environment, who can demonstrate the initiative the business can call upon when there are both exciting challenges and customer driven expectations to handle.

This person will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with estimates for customer, accurately creating jobs for production team
  • Communicate with customers offering updates for timelines for orders and projects
  • Manage trouble-shooting of emergency orders from customers offering reassurances and calmness
  • Enters Customer Orders in ERP system
  • Utilize CRM to manage communications with the sales team, customers and management
  • Follow up on all customer transactions
  • Insures relevant issues and enquiries initiated by quality department, communicating with customer
  • Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to company policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputes
  • Sends out sample products to customers
  • Assist Packaging orders for delivery
  • Ad-hoc administrative or retail based duties
  • Assists the site manager with any emergency problems
  • Participate in morning meetings for production staff and front office staff

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Customer service via phone, email and in person
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Variety of IT Systems experience and be comfortable picking up new systems quickly
  • Knowledge of estimates and customer expectation
  • Time management skills
  • Adaptability & Flexibility
  • Candidate should have experience in Word, Excel and Google Suites minimally.
  • 2-3 years of experience a customer service-related field
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

The hours of work are typically 0845 to 1730 however the business is on an upwards curve and customers orders are paramount to maintain the trajectory. Therefore there will be an expectation to work outside these hours occasionally if customer orders dictate this.
