Do…

  • Keep the formatting neat and tidy
  • Use bullet points to outline your key skills and duties, making it easy for a recruiter to scan through and pick out what they are looking for quickly
  • Highlight your achievements & successes
  • Include both month AND year for all jobs & education

Don’t…

  • Speak in the third person
  • Do not add a photo of yourself. A recent survey found 88% of CVs with a photo were discarded by recruiters
  • Include big blocks of text, recruiters just aren’t going to read it!
  • Leave gaps in career history
