Our Client is a multi-million pound turnover division of a European Group, and specialises in retail products to major multiple retailers and wholesalers. As a major player in their market sectors, the Business is at an exciting time. Having recently relocated to a lovely, newly-refurbished premises in a village on the south-side of Banbury, the company are at an exciting juncture in their time.

In order to provide additional cover in the finance team, an exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Credit Controller, to join the Business on a Part Time (likely to be 25 hours per week) basis, and play a key role in ensuring that Customer Sales Accounts are accurately maintained and reconciled, and also that effective credit control, customer receipts and cash management control is in place.

Our Client is seeking a person possessing good all round experience gained from previously having a hands-on role within a finance department, and who understands the practical application of finance systems and routines associated with invoicing and ledgers, account reconciliations and control accounts.

Customer products and volumes can be numerous and some customer account detail can be a little complex. It is felt, therefore, that the ideal person to fulfil this role will be one who is highly numerate, accurate, has a keen eye for detail and is able to solve problems in account reconciliations.

Given the hands on nature of this role, and the fact that there will be lots of interaction and dialogue with customers, it is important that the individual who joins the Company either has previous experience of customer credit control, or the capabilities of easily stepping into this role, and feel comfortable with initiating and maintaining on-going customer relations regarding payment terms and sales invoice queries. As such, you will possess excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the phone, a pleasant personality and the self-motivation to want to make a value added contribution to the Finance team.

You will also need to posses confident IT skills using this businesses CMS and Accounting software. Previous experience with SAGE, SAP or Oracle type software would be awesome!
