Our client is a thriving local business who have expanded rapidly over recent years. Their continued growth means they have newly-created role within their finance department for Assistant Accountant. This role would support the Finance Manager directly with the accounting of the company’s subsidiaries in various countries across the EMEA region. This is a really exciting role and will ideally suit an AAT qualified or studying candidate with some exposure to Management Accounts who would be looking for a role to develop their skill set. You wont be fully responsible for the Management Accounts but will be supporting the Finance Manager with them.

The role involves

  • Maintaining the ledgers for the subsidiary businesses
  • Posting and reconciling all transactions between the Subsidiaries and the business
  • Actioning both purchases invoices and bank transactions
  • Posting Stock receipts in Subsidiary Companies where required
  • Maintain fixed asset registers for all subsidiaries
  • Assist with preparation of Monthly Management accounts
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Provide the local accountants with Quarterly Vat and monthly Intrastat information
  • Provide financial Information for Year End Audits and Statutory Account Preparation
  • Assist the finance team with other support for the UK site

Experience / Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Ideally AAT Qualified or near completion
  • Excellent communication skills able to deal with regionally based colleagues and accountants
  • High attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advances Excel skills
  • Ideally experience of Microsoft AX or other multi-currency financial systems.
