Description

Our fast-growing e-commerce client is looking for a Demand Planner to join their team to create accurate sales forecasts and plan inventory against forecast to deliver customer service, cost and inventory targets

Responsibilities

  • Create sales forecasts, analysing online retail sales data, assessing trends in customer purchases, and evaluating changes in the online retail market
  • Utilise sales forecasts to plan inventory to maintain target stock
  • Create and update reports
  • Expedite and de-expedite inventory
  • Communicate pro actively with Sales, Product Management, Finance and other teams on both potential stock shortages and excess stock risk
  • Identify opportunities to improve service and inventory KPI’s

Skills Required

  • Experience of working on supply systems, ERP and MRP essential
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills essential
  • A solid understanding of sales forecasting and supply chain processes and systems
  • Ecommerce experience would be beneficial
  • Demonstrate a track record of managing high volume inventory in line with departmental KPI’s as well as successfully producing sales forecasts on ecommerce platforms
